Tutorial Thursday #7 – Groupon Credits vs. Reward Code

Hello there,

We’re hoping you had a pleasant Thursday thus far?  Are you ready for class?

We know, we can’t wait for Friday too!

Before we begin, do you know the difference between Groupon credits and Groupon reward?

Well, good news! You’re in the right class, today’s tutorial will be on Groupon credits and Redeeming reward code!

Let us begin, “How do you utilise your Groupon credit”. First of,  click on My Credit in your Groupon account to check your credit balance.

Do take note of the expiry dates as well as it’s current status – when the green button is visible it means credits are still available for use! 

After deciding on your preferred deal, click on Buy Now to move forward.

The page shows the amount of credit you have left and may utilize.

Note that you will have to proceed to pay the remaining amount in order to complete your purchase! :)

And that’s how you redeem your Groupon credits.

Now, give yourself a deep breath and a little stretch as the end had yet to come. Let’s move on to “How to Redeem Your Reward Code”.

These rewards are usually sent out to our ever-so-awesome customers via e-mail (that comes with an attached voucher code).

And do take note of the code as posted on the sample above as it will come in handy when purchasing your deal :)

Upon checking out, click on “Redeem Reward Code” to proceed further,

Copy Paste your Reward Code as per what’s given on your e-mail reward code,

And you may complete your order by proceeding to pay the remaining amount,

    why only reward new users,how about us existing ones?was surprised when a friend that have not purchased before received a rm20 reward.

    Recently received a email from groupon premium giving rm5 credit, it should activated into our account.

    Once I have click on the “activate credit now” but I log into my account check, it wouldn’t should at my credit as your mention above. Please advice. Thanks

    Typing mistake as my mention in first email.
    The groupon premium 5rm credit it couldn’t shown at my credit.
    I had reply email on 4 July. I didn’t receive any reply on my email. So far the given credit has been expired.
    Please advice accurately. Thanks.

    Enclose with the email received from groupon premium shown as below:
    Groupon is sending you RM5 credit
    Today we’ve got a surprise for you: we’re sending you an exclusive and one-off RM5 credit voucher.

    Same problem like christ there.
    It says like this

    “We sent you RM5 credit a few days ago! Unfortunately you haven’t activated it yet.

    Set up your Groupon user account and get RM5 right from the start. You can only receive this credit before Jul 21, 2012 11:59 PM.

    Do take note though, that by activating your credit, you are not committed to any obligations – so no worries!

    Have fun redeeming your credit
    Your Groupon team”

    but then i tried everything but cant get the credit activated.
    Im an existing user.
    Pls help =]

    A week ago, I received an email from groupon regarding the reward code via email. I deleted the email by accident. Is it possible if you all could send it again to my existing account? Thank you.

      Sorry for the delayed reply, Denise. I’m afraid that it will not be possible to retrieve back the reward that’s assigned to you as the rewards are automatically sent to Groupon customers via the system. Then again, don’t be sad – there’s plenty more from where that came from! :) Stay tuned!

    I used the reward code and initially chose paypal to make payment. But then I changed my mind instead (decided to use online banking) and clicked on the back arrow button to start from scratch

    After repeating the same steps; I realised that my reward code is marked as USED. And when I tried to key in manually this reward code to redeem, I got a message saying that the code is invalid. Please help. I have not used up this reward code at all.

      Hi there, we apologize for the delay. As for your referral link, yes your friend will receive a notification with your details (i.e.: Name, email) saying you had referred them to join Groupon. Hope this helped! :)

    No, i mean when someone clicks on my link which i have posted on a forum/blog not when i suggest them to join groupon with mail.In this case is he informed by groupon about my name ,email??
